Daikin Sets Sights on Africa with New Nairobi Office

Daikin Airconditioning India Pvt. Ltd. (DAIPL), a subsidiary of Daikin Industries Ltd., Japan, has opened a new office in Nairobi as part of its strategy to become the leading air-conditioning brand in Africa within the next three years. The facility, located at One Africa Place, will serve as a hub for showcasing products, expanding dealer networks, and driving customer engagement across the continent.
Speaking to the press on Friday 12th in Nairobi, Chairman and Managing Director of Daikin India and Board Member of Daikin Industries Ltd., Mr. Kanwaljeet Jawa, said the new office reflects the company’s commitment to Africa’s growing market potential.
“With India demonstrating a robust upward growth & business trajectory, we have plans to get aggressive in our approach within Africa and the New Daikin Office is a key step towards strengthening Daikin’s endeavour to capture significant market share. We are committed to provide unmatched consumer experience with network of highly trained sales, service and maintenance through our strong dealer network & employees,” said Mr. Jawa.
He added, “Daikin takes a major step forward in strengthening its leadership in the industry, catering to the growing demand for cutting-edge, eco-friendly air-conditioning solutions, globally. Also speaking at the launch, Mr. Junichi Omori, General Manager, Global Operations Division, said Daikin is adopting a more aggressive expansion plan across Africa to capture the rising demand for smart and energy-efficient cooling solutions.
“We are poised to accelerate our expansion across Africa, adopting a more aggressive approach to strengthen our market presence. The launch of new office is Daikin’s mission to enhance its market share and industry leadership. Mr. Omori added that Africa has shown remarkable momentum and is projected to grow into a multi-billion-dollar opportunity, driven by rapid urbanization, infrastructure growth, and housing demand.
