gobeba, Proto Energy Announce Strategic Partnership to Deliver Safe and Convenient Cooking Gas
Gobeba, a leading tech-driven logistics firm, has announced a strategic partnership with Proto Energy, one of the country’s largest LPG suppliers with the aim to revolutionize access to clean cooking energy in Kenya. The collaboration aims to ensure that customers access genuine, safe cooking gas conveniently and reliably.
Speaking during the announcement, gobeba Co-Founder Peter Ndiang’ui said the partnership solves a long-standing challenge faced by consumers accessing both safe gas and convenience.
“Today is a great day for Gobeba and for Proto Energy. We’ve been determined to ensure that customers get two things they’ve never consistently had before: genuine, safe gas, and the convenience of receiving it right when they need it. This partnership nails that.”said Ndiang’ui.
Echoing the sentiment, Gobeba Co-Founder Lesley Mbogo highlighted the synergy between the two companies. “We share values with Proto especially the commitment to safety and quality. With our logistics network and Proto’s vast LPG presence, this partnership ensures fast, safe, and traceable access to cooking energy.”
Tim Jessop, Chief Commercial Officer at Proto Energy, emphasized the growth of LPG in Kenya as households shift away from traditional fuels.
“LPG is on the rise as a cleaner alternative, and this partnership enables us to meet growing demand more efficiently. Customers can now order genuine Proto gas, verified with serialized cylinders and barcodes, delivered seamlessly to their doorstep.”Jessop said.
The partnership, which launches in Nairobi with plans to scale countrywide, marks a milestone in Kenya’s transition to cleaner, safer energy solutions. With LPG demand rising, the Gobeba-Proto alliance is positioning itself as a key player in the future of domestic energy access.
