Vivo Energy Kenya has reiterated its unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest fuel quality standards across its extensive network of over 320 Shell-branded retail stations.

Speaking during a comprehensive media briefing at a Shell station in Nairobi, Vivo Energy Kenya Managing Director Peter Murungi emphasized the company’s stringent quality assurance measures and the superior performance of Shell V-Power fuel, which consistently meets international fuel standards.

“For the last 100 years, we have offered our customers premium products in the market. The Shell V-Power fuel brand meets the RON Standard rating of 95. Our commitment to quality isn’t just a promise – it’s backed by substantial investment in infrastructure, technology, and human expertise,” said Murungi.

To guarantee fuel quality, Vivo Energy Kenya employs a rigorous multi-stage verification process. Fuel undergoes quality checks at the loading site, is tested at an ISO-approved lab in Mombasa, and further examined at Shell labs in Nairobi and Mombasa.

“We conduct daily tests to assess parameters such as color and water content, ensuring our fuel remains top-tier. Our systems provide real-time quality metrics, enabling swift responses to any deviations in fuel standards,” Murungi explained.

Shell V-Power, the company’s flagship fuel product, is engineered to enhance vehicle engine performance, delivering a superior driving experience.
