Qatar Airways Resumes Flights to Aleppo, Expanding Syrian Network
DOHA, Qatar, July 28, 2025 – Qatar Airways has announced the resumption of scheduled flights to Aleppo, Syria, marking a significant milestone in the airline’s post-conflict regional expansion. Starting 10 August 2025, the carrier will operate three weekly flights between Doha and Aleppo, with plans to increase the frequency to four weekly flights beginning 1 September.
The return to Aleppo marks a notable step in reconnecting Syria to the global aviation map. Qatar Airways had initially launched operations to Aleppo in 2011, before suspending flights due to the conflict in the region.
Earlier this year, the airline resumed flights to Damascus, and Aleppo now becomes the second Syrian city reconnected to the airline’s extensive global network.
From 10 August, flights will depart Doha’s Hamad International Airport every Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday at 08:30, arriving in Aleppo at 11:40.
The return leg will depart Aleppo at 13:55 and land in Doha at 17:00. From 1 September, a fourth flight will be added on Thursdays, offering travelers increased flexibility and connectivity.
Aleppo’s inclusion in Qatar Airways’ network of over 170 destinations highlights the airline’s strategic efforts to boost regional connectivity through its world-class hub in Doha. The airline emphasized its commitment to facilitating travel, trade, and cultural exchange through expanded service to post-conflict zones.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Akbar Al Baker, stated that the resumption aligns with the airline’s mission to bridge communities and support economic revival through reliable air travel.
“We are proud to reconnect Aleppo to our global network and contribute to the city’s gradual recovery and reintegration,” he said.
