The partnership reflects the Bank’s commitment to nurturing local sports talent while leveraging football as a tool for social cohesion and community empowerment.

A.P.S Bomet FC, which enjoys a strong fan base of over 35,000 supporters and plays at its 15,000-seater home ground in Bomet, enters the topflight league with high expectations. The sponsorship provides much-needed financial backing as the club prepares to face seasoned football giants.

Speaking during the unveiling ceremony, Deputy Inspector General of the Administration Police Service, Mr. Gilbert Masengeli, CBS, OGW, SS, hailed the partnership as a game changer for the Service and the community.

“This partnership marks the beginning of an impactful journey. Just as our motto ‘Uaminifu na Haki’ (Integrity and Justice) guides us, we are committed to discipline and teamwork as we work with Family Bank to uplift the lives of our officers and communities through football,” he said.

DIG Masengeli also revealed that the collaboration goes beyond football, extending to financial literacy initiatives designed to empower APS officers and their families.

On her part, Family Bank Chief Executive Officer, Nancy Njau, underscored the Bank’s dedication to fostering transformation through sports.

“As a Bank, we are proud to stand alongside A.P.S Bomet FC, a team that not only inspires hope but also shapes the future of young people and the wider community. Football has the unique ability to unite and transform lives. Today’s partnership is about more than sponsorship; it reflects our shared values with the Administration Police Service,” she noted.

The partnership adds to Family Bank’s history of supporting uniformed officers and investing in community development through its social investment arm, the Family Group Foundation.

Past initiatives include a collaboration with the Military Wives Association of Kenya (MWAK), where over 200 children of service members were equipped with technical and entrepreneurial skills.

The sponsorship announcement was made during a high-profile event attended by senior APS officials, A.P.S Bomet FC management, and Family Bank’s Retail Division led by Chief Retail Officer, Phyllis Kimani.
