Qatar Airways Boosts Winter Connectivity with Expanded Routes and Record London Flights
Qatar Airways has unveiled its expanded winter 2025 schedule, boosting frequencies to more than 15 destinations worldwide. The move caters to rising passenger demand and further strengthens the airline’s position as a global leader in connectivity through its Doha hub at Hamad International Airport, recently named the Best Airport in the Middle East.
Crowned the “World’s Best Airline” by Skytrax for a record ninth time in 2025, Qatar Airways has announced its highest-ever frequency to London Heathrow up to 10 daily flights supported by British Airways’ double daily services. Key destinations seeing significant increases include Dublin, Cape Town, São Paulo, Tokyo Narita, and Toronto.
Chief Commercial Officer Thierry Antinori said the expansion reflects strong demand for the airline’s premium services:
“Qatar Airways continues to see steady growth for some of the world’s most popular destinations. This winter, we’re also working with Virgin Australia to launch Melbourne–Doha services, boosting capacity to three daily flights. Additionally, we will restart flights to Canberra, reinforcing our commitment to linking Australia with the world.”
Highlights of the winter schedule adjustments include:
- London Heathrow – 8 to up to 10 daily flights
- Dublin – 14 to 17 weekly flights
- Cape Town – 10 to 12 weekly flights
- São Paulo – 14 to 18 weekly flights
- Tokyo Narita – 11 to 14 weekly flights
- Toronto – 5 to 7 weekly flights
- Sharjah – 3 to up to 7 daily flights
Other cities like Abu Dhabi, Berlin, Frankfurt, Manchester, Madrid, Maldives, Phuket, and Johannesburg also see increased frequencies.
Beyond route expansions, Qatar Airways is enhancing its in-flight experience with cutting-edge technology. The carrier operates 54 Boeing 777s equipped with ultra-high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi free for all passengers. With speeds of up to 500 Mbps, it is the first airline globally to operate over 50 widebody aircraft with Starlink and the only one in the MENA region offering the service. The Airbus A350 fleet is also set to receive Starlink installation within the next year.
With a young, diverse fleet and a strategy driven by anticipating market trends, Qatar Airways continues to raise the bar for global travel, offering passengers greater choice, comfort, and connectivity this winter season.
