Emirates Logistics Expands to Kenya with New Facility at Tatu City SEZ

Emirates Logistics, a major global supply chain provider, has announced its entry into the Kenyan market with plans to establish a cutting-edge logistics facility at Tatu City Special Economic Zone (SEZ), located just 30 minutes from Nairobi.

The expansion marks a significant milestone in the company’s strategic growth across Sub-Saharan Africa, with the new facility designed to support its global clientele operating in the region.

“We are proud to strengthen our presence in Kenya with our expansion to Tatu City,” said Steven van der Vliet, Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates Logistics. “This strategic investment will enable us to deliver flexible and world-class logistics solutions in one of Africa’s most dynamic markets.”

Construction is expected to begin later this year. The new facility will join Emirates Logistics’ robust international network, which spans 15 countries across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.

The company has over two decades of experience in international logistics, offering warehousing, transportation, and customized supply chain services.

Welcoming the investment, George Kapanadze, Group CFO at Rendeavour the developer of Tatu City hailed the move as a boost for Kenya’s growing logistics and investment ecosystem.

“Tatu City provides the infrastructure, services, and incentives global investors like Emirates Logistics seek,” he noted.Tatu City SEZ offers investors a 10 percent corporate tax rate for the first 10 years and VAT zero-rating, making it one of Africa’s most attractive investment destinations.

The mixed-use development is home to over 100 companies and 25,000 daily residents, workers, and students.Rendeavour, Africa’s largest new city developer, continues to attract multinational companies to its $5 billion projects across Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, Zambia, and the DRC.
