Kalonzo Pays Tribute to Late MCA Simon Ole Saitoti in Kajiado
Wiper Democratic Movement leader and People’s Loyal Coalition Principal Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka visited Kajiado County to pay his last respects to the late Simon Ole Saitoti, the Minority Whip in the County Assembly who passed away last week.
Saitoti, a respected leader, was elected on a Wiper Party ticket and was known for his advocacy on community issues.Dr. Musyoka was accompanied by a high-profile delegation, including Governor Joseph Ole Lenku, Senator Seku, Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua, Kajiado North MP Nkokoyo, and several Members of the County Assembly (MCAs).
During his address, Kalonzo took a swipe at President William Ruto, warning against policy changes that could affect Kenyans’ way of life.
“Ruto, don’t change the DNA of our chapatis the same way you want to change the DNA of our livestock!” he remarked, in apparent criticism of government agricultural reforms.
He also revisited the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) Report, saying its timely implementation would have averted crises affecting the country’s youth.
“If the NADCO Report had been implemented when we handed it over on March 9 last year, we would have saved the lives of young Kenyans,” he stated.

Kalonzo further hinted at looming political change, using a Swahili proverb to suggest that President Ruto’s leadership was on borrowed time.
“Dalili ya mvua ni nini? Mawingu. (What is the sign of rain? Clouds.) Ruto will continue being restless until he’s driven home by the people of Kenya. That is when I will meet Ruto when he hands over the instruments of power,” he declared.
The visit was both a tribute to a fallen leader and a platform for Kalonzo to reinforce his political stance ahead of Kenya’s shifting political landscape.
