TUK staff members strikes over alleged unaddressed grievances.

Staff members at the Technical University of Kenya (TUK) have initiated a strike in Nairobi to protest against delayed salaries, poor working conditions and the non-implementation of their Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
Staff are demanding salary increments outlined in the 2021-2025 CBA, timely payment of overdue salaries and proper remittance of statutory deductions such as NSSF and NHIF contributions.
This industrial action, which began has brought learning activities at TUK to a halt, with lecturers vowing not to return to work until their grievances are addressed. The strike is part of a broader nationwide action affecting multiple public universities.
Union leaders have criticized mismanagement of funds and a lack of comprehensive medical coverage, further amplifying the challenges faced by staff members

The university administration has yet to provide a response to the demands, leaving students and stakeholders uncertain about when normal operations will resume.
