Ndindi Nyoro Seeks Four Weeks Before Declaring Political Future

Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro has asked Kenyans to give him between three and four weeks to announce the political team he intends to work with, saying he is carefully weighing a decision that will shape both his political future and the country’s direction.

Speaking during a press briefing on Saturday, Nyoro said he has spent several months reflecting on Kenya’s future, the leadership the country requires, and the political alliances capable of delivering meaningful change.

“I have been thinking about the way forward,” Nyoro said.

“In the next three to four weeks, I’ll give the way forward on which team I’ll decide to move forward with. I pray for patience.”

The legislator said his decision would not be based on political expediency but on what he believes is in the best interests of the country.

“This decision is not about my political convenience, but what Kenya will become. The decision is the heaviest for me,” he said.

Nyoro added that he does not make major political decisions lightly and prefers to take time before committing to a course of action.

“I don’t do things half-baked. Once I make a decision, I stand by it,” he said.

The Kiharu MP acknowledged his role in campaigning for the current administration, noting that his past political choices have shaped public expectations over where he is likely to align next.

He, however, said he has been working for months on ideas and proposals that will influence the political direction he ultimately chooses.

“I have been working on something for the last many months around that question, objectively on the kind of Kenya we would like to have,” Nyoro said.

“It’s the kind that would dictate what kind of team we need to do this job.”

Nyoro appealed to Kenyans to allow him time to complete the process without being pressured into making a premature declaration amid heightened political speculation.

“I plead with Kenyans so that I’m not pushed in the situation of the moment, as the storm has been ravaging me. It’s too weighty a decision to make,” he said.

He maintained that he already has a clear understanding of the country’s priorities but wants to ensure any political alignment is based on the ability to deliver results for Kenyans.

“Not that I don’t know what we need to do and who we need to work with, but in terms of deliverables to the people of Kenya,” he said.

Nyoro concluded by reiterating his request for patience, promising to present his views comprehensively once he has finalized his position.

“I request Kenyans to give me three to four weeks to share my specific views on the issue of political formations and things we need to do in terms of the Republic of Kenya,” he said.

His remarks come amid growing political realignments and speculation over possible alliances as leaders position themselves ahead of the next phase of Kenya’s political landscape.
