The Nairobi Hospital Champions Workforce Wellness in Strategic HR Engagement

Nairobi, Kenya, November 11, 2025— The Nairobi Hospital has convened a high-level strategic engagement with Human Resource (HR) Directors from top-performing organizations to advance holistic workforce wellbeing and strengthen corporate partnerships.

The session, themed “Strategic Workforce Wellness as the Science Behind High-Performing Cultures,” brought together HR leaders to explore global trends, wellness case law, and data-driven insights shaping the future of workplace wellbeing. The dialogue underscored the growing need for organizations to collaborate with healthcare institutions in building sustainable, high-performing work cultures rooted in wellness.

Addressing the forum, The Nairobi Hospital Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Felix Osano, reaffirmed the hospital’s dedication to providing quality, tailored healthcare solutions to individuals and corporate clients.

Kenya Hospital Association (KHA) Board Chair, Dr. Barcley Onyambu, emphasized that employee wellbeing is the cornerstone of sustainable institutions and national progress.

The session also highlighted the changing role of HR leaders as champions of human sustainability linking wellness initiatives to employer branding, talent retention, and business performance. Global institutions, including the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Labour Organization (ILO), continue to affirm wellness as a critical determinant of productivity, with WHO’s SDG3 aiming to reduce mental health cases by one-third through preventive initiatives.
