Stima Plaza Business Disrupted as Water and Sewer Services Cut Off

Business operations at Stima Plaza Complex in Nairobi were thrown into disarray following a disruptive incident involving water disconnection and blocked entrances. The Kenya Power Pension Fund (KPPF), the legal owners of the complex, has condemned the move, which they attribute to actions by Nairobi County officials.

According to a statement issued by KPPF, the Nairobi Water and Sewerage Company disconnected water and sewerage services at the complex two days ago without providing a clear explanation, despite there being no outstanding dues.

This morning, county officials allegedly dumped garbage at the premises and blocked all entrances, further hampering business operations for tenants, including the Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC), Cooperative Bank, and Health Point Services.

KPPF has criticized the disruptive actions, saying they have negatively impacted businesses operating within the complex. The pension fund has assured the public that it is actively engaging relevant government agencies to resolve the matter and restore normalcy.

“We remain committed to ensuring high standards of service and minimizing disruptions at all times. We will continue to update all affected parties on the progress of resolving this issue,” KPPF stated.

The Stima Plaza Complex, located on Kolobot Road, Parklands, Nairobi, houses several businesses and institutions, making it a vital hub for corporate activities.

The ongoing dispute has raised concerns among stakeholders, who are keenly following the developments.
