Police Crack Down on Criminal Gangs in Nakuru

 

A major police operation has been launched in Nakuru East Sub-County, targeting criminal gangs that have been causing chaos in the area. The police have arrested dozens of suspects in a series of raids on multiple hideouts.

According to police, the operation was carried out after gathering intelligence on the gangs’ activities. In one of the raids, 12 suspects were arrested in a cramped one-room house in Kaloleni Estate, where they were allegedly planning their next move.

Further raids in the same estate led to the arrest of four more suspects, while another four were caught in Freehold Estate. The police also rounded up eight more suspects at the Railway Stage area.

The suspects are currently in custody and are undergoing processing ahead of their arraignment. The National Police Service has reaffirmed its commitment to dismantling criminal gangs and ensuring public safety nationwide.

The police operation is seen as a major blow to the gangs that have been terrorizing residents in Nakuru East and its surroundings. The crackdown is part of the police’s efforts to improve security in the region and bring perpetrators to justice.
