Charles Muasya Declares Bid for MCA Seat in Parklands/Highridge Ward Ahead of 2027 Polls

Charles Muasya has officially declared his intention to contest the Member of County Assembly (MCA) seat for Parklands/Highridge Ward in the 2027 general elections, citing a divine calling to serve the people.

Speaking to NewsLightkenya Editor, Muasya expressed his deep conviction that his entry into politics is a purposeful assignment from God. “I believe the time has come that God has given me an assignment to serve the people of Parklands/Highridge Ward. Through faithful service in this position, I will be fulfilling a higher purpose  serving both the people and God,” he said.

Muasya, who has been active in grassroots mobilization and youth mentorship within the ward, said his campaign will be anchored on integrity, transparency, and people-driven development. He emphasized the need for servant leadership and promised to be a voice for the marginalized, especially youth, women, and persons living with disabilities.

Confident of a win in 2027, Muasya stated, “I have no doubt I’ll carry the day. With God on our side and the people’s trust, we are ready to bring transformation to Parklands/Highridge.”

His declaration comes at a time when voters across Nairobi are increasingly demanding accountability and effective representation at the ward level. Muasya aims to fill that gap through participatory governance and regular community dialogue forums.

His residents have welcomed his announcement, with some praising his humility and long-standing commitment to community service.

As the race for 2027 gains momentum, Charles Muasya becomes one of the early entrants positioning themselves for local leadership, promising a new dawn for Parklands/Highridge Ward. His campaign is expected to officially kick off later this year.
