UDA Hands Samuel Muchina Nyagah Ticket for Ol Kalou By-Election

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has issued a nomination certificate to Samuel Muchina Nyagah ahead of the forthcoming Ol Kalou Constituency by-election, with party leaders calling for unity and peaceful campaigns.

Speaking during the briefing, UDA Secretary General Omar Hassan commended the party’s electoral board for conducting what he described as a free, fair and transparent nomination exercise.

He thanked all candidates who participated in the nominations, noting that nine other aspirants had contested alongside Samuel Muchina. Hassan urged party members and leaders to unite behind the candidate to strengthen UDA’s campaign ahead of the by-election.

“We believe every Kenyan should be given an opportunity to participate in a democratic process without intimidation,” he said, while also lauding Nyandarua leaders for their support during the exercise.

Speaking at the event, Anthony Mwaura urged residents of Nyandarua to support the party’s campaigns and called on members of the media to uphold truth and accuracy in reporting.

UDA official Andrian Kamotho said the party had established structures and organs to handle disputes arising from the nomination process, including an electoral dispute resolution mechanism for dissatisfied aspirants.

Receiving the nomination certificate, Samuel Muchina Nyagah thanked residents of Ol Kalou and the UDA party for entrusting him with the ticket. He pledged to champion development and work closely with the government to advance the interests of the constituency.

Nyagah also appealed to residents to maintain peace during the campaign period.

Former contestant Mary Kamau congratulated Nyagah on his victory and pledged support for the party candidate ahead of the by-election.
