NOCK’s Korir Rallies Team Kenya’s 3×3 Basketball Sides Ahead of Commonwealth Games
National Olympic Committee of Kenya (NOCK) First Deputy President Barnabas Korir has expressed confidence in Team Kenya’s men’s and women’s 3×3 basketball teams following a visit to their training session at the Kasarani Indoor Arena as they step up preparations for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
The Commonwealth games basketball is scheduled from July 24 to July 29.
Korir met the players and technical bench to encourage and motivate the teams, urging them to remain focused and disciplined as they continue fine-tuning their preparations for the prestigious global competition.
He commended the players for their hard work, dedication and commitment during training, noting that their determination gives Kenya every reason to be optimistic about improved performances on the international stage.
“The commitment, discipline and determination displayed by both teams give us every reason to be optimistic about improved performances at this prestigious global showpiece,” said Korir.
He assured the players of NOCK’s continued support as they prepare to represent the country, emphasizing the importance of teamwork, resilience and national pride.
The men’s and women’s 3×3 basketball teams have intensified their training at Kasarani Indoor Arena as they seek to make a strong impression in Glasgow against some of the world’s top-ranked sides.
Korir wished the teams success in their preparations and challenged them to fly the Kenyan flag high by delivering commendable performances at the Commonwealth Games.
“We wish both teams the very best as they prepare to make Kenya proud,” he said.
