Betty Adera Declares Bid for Westlands MP Seat, Promises “Real Change and Inclusive Development
Nairobi, Kenya — Business leader and community advocate Betty Adhiambo Adera has formally declared her intention to vie for the Westlands Constituency parliamentary seat, pledging a new era of leadership anchored on integrity, accountability and tangible development.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Adera said the time had come for Westlands residents to embrace change and move beyond what she described as “long-standing promises that have not translated into real progress.”
“It is time for a new beginning in Westlands a future built on real development, not empty pledges,” she said. “I am ready to give myself fully in service to the people, to listen, to lead with integrity, and to work tirelessly for the growth of our constituency.”
She emphasized that her leadership would be people-centred, inclusive and responsive to the needs of all residents, regardless of background or social status.
Adera called on voters to join her in shaping a constituency that works for everyone, saying meaningful transformation can only be achieved through collective effort.
“Together, we can build a future that works for everyone,” she added.
Her entry into the race adds momentum to what is expected to be a closely watched contest in Westlands ahead of the next general election.
