Absa Bank Kenya Unveils “Play Your Cards Right” Campaign to Accelerate Card Usage
Nairobi, Kenya – September 3, 2025 – Absa Bank Kenya PLC has launched a new customer rewards campaign aimed at accelerating card usage and deepening the adoption of cashless transactions across the country.
The three-month initiative, dubbed “Play Your Cards Right,” seeks to encourage both existing and new customers to embrace everyday digital payments using Absa Debit and Credit cards. In addition to promoting cashless convenience, the campaign offers participants a chance to win attractive prizes.
Customers who use their Absa cards to swipe, tap, or shop online will be automatically entered into a draw. Weekly prizes of KSh. 100,000 will be awarded to three winners, while one lucky customer will take home KSh. 1 million each month during the campaign period.
Speaking during the launch, Linda Kimani, Head of Cards Payments at Absa Bank Kenya, emphasized that the campaign is both a rewards initiative and part of the Bank’s broader strategy to foster a cashless economy.
“The Play Your Cards Right campaign is designed as a customer rewards initiative encouraging Absa Debit and Credit card holders to embrace card usage while making daily transactions meaningful, fun, and rewarding,” said Ms. Kimani. “We built this campaign on the foundation that Absa Bank continues to innovate around our customers’ needs and lifestyles, remaining a Bank that is customer-first, digitally led, and attuned to the evolving needs of every customer.”
