TECNO Unveils AI-Powered Ecosystem and CAMON 50 Series at MWC 2026

Barcelona, Spain,— Chinese smartphone brand TECNO has unveiled a suite of AI-powered devices and ecosystem innovations at the Mobile World Congress 2026, headlined by the launch of the CAMON 50 Series, now available in Kenya.

The new lineup CAMON 50, CAMON 50 Pro and CAMON 50 Ultra 5G  brings flagship-level imaging, advanced artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities and enhanced durability to the mid-range smartphone market, targeting everyday users, content creators and photography enthusiasts.

The launch forms part of TECNO’s broader vision of “Pioneering the Connection of Intelligence,” with a focus on delivering what it describes as “Practical AI for All.”

AI Imaging Takes Centre Stage

At the heart of the CAMON 50 Series is a professional-grade imaging system powered by AI. The devices feature a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C Ultra Night Camera, with the Pro and Ultra 5G models adding a 50MP telephoto lens capable of up to 60x AI SuperZoom.

The phones are equipped with TECNO’s AI RAW 2.0 imaging engine, which introduces features such as AI Auto Zoom for subject tracking and Super-Zoom FlashSnap for capturing fast-moving scenes  tools designed for scenarios ranging from sports photography to wildlife capture.

The series also incorporates Universal Tone technology, aimed at accurately representing diverse skin tones. The innovation has received recognition from imaging authority DXOMARK.

Frédéric Guichard, CEO of DXOMARK, said the CAMON 50 Ultra 5G stands out for its “accurate and inclusive skin tone rendering,” making it a strong contender in its price segment.

AI Tools for Everyday Use

Beyond photography, the CAMON 50 Series introduces a range of AI-powered features, including an AI Art Gallery, Image-to-Video Generator and One-Tap FlashMemo. Users also benefit from an upgraded Ella voice assistant designed for real-time assistance and content creation.

The Ultra 5G variant is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate processor and features a battery of up to 6,500mAh. The devices also come with MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification and high-level dust and water resistance, catering to users in demanding environments.

TECNO Chief Marketing Officer Laury Bai said the company is focused on making AI more accessible and practical for everyday users.

“Consumers now want their AI to reflect their individuality, be readily available and deliver true value in practical daily life scenarios,” Bai said during the launch.

Luxury Tech Partnership Announced

In a move to expand into premium lifestyle technology, TECNO also announced a partnership with Italian brand Tonino Lamborghini.

The collaboration debuted with co-branded products including the Tonino Lamborghini TECNO TAURUS mini gaming PC and a limited-edition POVA Metal 5G smartphone, featuring distinctive design elements and high-performance specifications.

According to Ginevra Lamborghini, Vice President of Tonino Lamborghini S.p.A., the partnership blends heritage, design and technological innovation to create a new category of lifestyle-driven tech products.

Expanding AI Ecosystem

TECNO further showcased a broader AIoT ecosystem, including concept devices such as laptops, tablets and wearables, signalling its ambition to build an interconnected AI-driven product ecosystem.

With the CAMON 50 Series now available in Kenya, TECNO is positioning itself to strengthen its foothold in the mid-range smartphone market by combining advanced imaging, practical AI tools and durable design at accessible price points.
