Opati stuns with 33-second knockout, eyes July return
Rising lightweight star Emmanuel Opati delivered a jaw-dropping performance with a 33-second stoppage victory over Jakub Jablonski at the Woodside Leisure Centre Arena in the UWC MMA League.
Opati wasted no time asserting dominance, overwhelming his opponent in a lightning-fast exchange that ended almost as soon as it began. A well-timed right hook proved decisive, forcing the referee to halt the contest in the opening round.
“It was explosive from the first second,” said Opati. “We were both sharp, but I stayed composed and took the opportunity when it came.”
The emphatic win marks one of the quickest finishes in recent UWC MMA League lightweight action and signals Opati’s growing presence in the division.
Jablonski, who had prepared for a longer contest, acknowledged the setback with sportsmanship.
“He read the moment better,” Jablonski admitted. “In this sport, one opening is enough. I will come back stronger.”
Buoyed by the victory, Opati has already shifted focus to his next bout, expected in July.
“I will take a short recovery, then get back to training. July is the target,” he said.
With no opponent confirmed yet, attention now turns to who will step up next against a fighter who has proven he can end a fight in seconds.
