Absa Bank City Run Brings Centenary Celebration to Eldoret

Eldoret’s running culture will take centre stage on Sunday, November 1st, when Absa Bank stages the Absa City Run – Eldoret Edition to celebrate 100 years of service in the City of Champions.

The event will feature 3km, 5km and 10km races, welcoming participants across different fitness levels while putting a competitive spotlight on the longer distance.

The top 15 men and women will receive prize money, while registration is free for participants presenting their National ID and Athletics Kenya number.

With the message “Your story matters. Come run your story,” Absa is inviting Eldoret residents, athletes and running enthusiasts to make the event part of the bank’s centenary celebrations.

Eldoret provides a fitting backdrop for the race, given its reputation as a global athletics hub and its deep connection to Kenya’s distance-running success.

The November 1st  event will combine sport, fitness and community participation in marking the bank’s 100-year milestone in Eldoret.
