Capital A Investment Bank Launches Rejesha Funds to Promote Wealth Creation

Capital A Investment Bank has launched a new investment platform targeting Kenyans at home and abroad, offering opportunities to grow their savings through investments denominated in Kenyan shillings and US dollars.

The Rejesha Funds were unveiled in Nairobi on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, under the bank’s Capital Markets Authority (CMA) regulated Collective Investment Scheme with a focus on helping individuals move beyond conventional savings to long-term wealth creation.

The launch introduced two investment options: the Rejesha Money Market Fund designed for short-term savings and liquidity needs, and the Rejesha Multi Asset Multi Strategy Special Fund which targets medium to long-term financial goals.

According to the bank, the Money Market Fund requires a minimum investment of KSh1,000 or USD500. Investors can access their money when needed while returns are distributed monthly.

The Multi Asset Multi Strategy Special Fund requires a minimum investment of KSh100,000 or USD1,000. It invests across various asset classes including government securities, listed equities, corporate bonds, exchange traded funds, commodities and alternative investments.

The bank said the funds do not charge entry or exit fees while investors’ assets are held separately from the bank by Standard Chartered Bank, which serves as trustee and custodian.

Speaking during the launch, Capital A Investment Bank Chief Executive Officer Linus Kang’ara said Kenya had made progress in expanding access to formal financial services but more needed to be done to help citizens achieve financial stability and build wealth.

“A mobile wallet is not an investment portfolio. Financial inclusion has opened the door. Wealth creation must now become the destination,” Kang’ara said.

Board Chairman Patrick Ndei said governance and investor protection were central to the bank’s strategy noting that customers needed confidence that their savings were being managed responsibly.

“When a teacher in Nyeri, a boda boda rider in Kisumu or a nurse in the UK invests their savings, they are not buying a product, they are trusting someone with years of their work. As a Board, our first job is to protect that trust,” Ndei said.

According to the bank, the US dollar investment options would enable Kenyans living abroad to invest in regulated Kenyan funds without converting their dollar savings into local currency.

Investors will also be able to open and manage accounts online, while each customer will be assigned a dedicated wealth partner through the bank’s Private Wealth team.

The launch adds to the investment options available to Kenyans seeking alternatives to conventional savings accounts with the bank positioning the funds as a means of helping individuals pursue their financial goals through professionally managed investment products
