TECNO Unveils EllaClaw AI Agent to Transform Smartphone Use in Kenya
TECNO is ushering in a new phase of mobile innovation in Kenya and other emerging markets with the upcoming beta launch of EllaClaw, a mobile AI agent powered by the OpenClaw framework and designed to simplify everyday digital tasks.
Integrated into TECNO’s virtual assistant Ella, EllaClaw operates at the system level, enabling users to execute complex, multi-step tasks seamlessly. The tool is tailored for everyday smartphone users, eliminating the need for technical expertise and offering an intuitive experience aligned with how Kenyans use their devices for business, communication, and daily activities.
The beta rollout, expected in the coming months, will introduce three key layers of functionality. At the core is “One Sentence Automation,” allowing users to trigger full task execution through simple, conversational commands. Whether scheduling activities or organizing files, the feature converts intent into action effortlessly.
EllaClaw is further enhanced by cross-app data integration, connecting information across SMS, calendars, notes, and other applications. This ensures users stay on top of important updates such as bills, travel alerts, and messages. Notable features include smart SMS summaries that categorize and highlight priority messages, as well as a daily schedule function that compiles calendar events, weather updates, notes, and curated news into a single, easy-to-follow brief.

Built on TECNO’s Practical AI philosophy, EllaClaw incorporates a persistent memory system that learns user behavior over time, evolving into a personalized digital assistant capable of anticipating needs and delivering timely support. The platform also emphasizes data privacy, with safeguards to ensure user information remains secure and protected from unauthorized access.
The launch builds on the momentum of the recently introduced TECNO CAMON 50 Series in Kenya, which combines advanced performance with productivity-focused features. With EllaClaw, TECNO aims to elevate this experience further, offering a smarter and more adaptive smartphone ecosystem.
More details on how Kenyan users can participate in the beta testing phase are expected to be announced soon through TECNO’s official communication channels.
